Go down the hill and turn left onto the forest road (Island Pond Road). Proceed along Island Pond Road until you reach a fork in the road (Turn #1).

Turn #1 takes you onto (what appears to be) a forest road that quickly turns into a foot path as you proceed aroud the east side of Little Island Pond.

At Turn #2, the foot-path branches to the left ascending up a hill and to the right hugging the shore of the pond. Take the right path along the shore.

Turn #3 is a trail that exits to your left, asscending up a steep incline. Continue on the trail to the right, along the shore.

Turn #4 is where the trail connects with the road that goes around the bog. Continue to the right along the bog road until you reach a gate and the paved road that is part of the Beaver Dam Ridge development (Turn #5).

Turn #5 thru Turn # 6 is a paved road. Continue along the paved road until you come to the entrance to a forest road (Turn #6).

Turn #6 leads past a few residences along a forest road (Hollis Rd.), forks to the right (Turn #7) and quickly forks again (Turn #8) onto a forest road (Island Pond Rd.) beyond which is forest land owned by the Town of Plymouth (note the sign on a tree at Turn #8).

Turn #9 is a fork in the road. Taking a left will lead you down to the little beach on the north end of Great Island Pond. The fork to the right returns you to Island Pond Road.

Turn #10 is a left hand turn onto a footpath that leaves Island Pond Road and leads you back to the Great Pointe path.
