Hints and Things

Solicitation

Door to door solicitation in the Pinehills is not allowed, however, police enforcement is dependent upon signage at your home. If you have identification of any businesses doing solicitation, you may contact Town Hall to see if the business is registered with them.

NOTE: Great Island District Design Guidelines, August 26, 2010, Section II.F.2 - "No soliciting and security/alarm notifications shall be limited to placards or stickers not to exceed five by seven (5" x 7") in size placed on the front door or door frame or in a window near the door."

Food Pantry

When coming for an event or activity at the clubhouse, why not bring an item for the food pantry? It may be a small item or two, but it will mean a lot to someone who needs it.

Also, help fund the Sunshine Committee by dropping off your recyclables and your recyclable ink cartridges (in the boxes) at the clubhouse.

Recycle

Speaking of recycling, you can also recycle your empty ink cartridges. There is a return box located in the reception area of the clubhouse. Please keep the little boxes that the cartridges come in because they protect the print head from becoming damaged. By recycling your ink cartridges to the clubhouse, you are helping to support the clubhouse and reducing environmental waste.

Garage Doors

Please be courteous and keep your garage door closed. It is part of our homeowners' regulations that we will keep them closed. Not only do open garages appear disorderly to the rest of the neighborhood, but they can attract animals and other creatures that may become bothersome to you!

Pets

Please be a good neighbor. Keep your dog on a leash. In doing so, you will be responding to the concerns of neighbors who are frightened of dogs (of any size) and other animals, and you will be protecting your dog from harm as well.

Clubhouse Quips

Backup supplies of toilet paper and paper towels are kept in the cabinet located under the mirror in the hallway outside of the kitchen and ballroom. The key to the toilet paper and paper towel dispensers is in the cabinet at the front desk just above the computer monitor. Should you find the supplies depleted in the rest rooms please replace them.

Mailbox keys and locks. In instances where mailbox locks become broken, please notify Audrey Davis, Lifestyle Director and she will arrange for a replacement lock to be installed. In the instance of lost keys, replacement keys may be duplicated at the Hardware Store in Manomet provided you still have one original key. If both keys are lost, the lock must be replaced and a set of new keys will be issued.

Joseph's Best Buy

Joseph's Hardware (Joseph's Do It Best) on 3A in Manomet (north on Beaver Dam Road) is a great place to find the things that the big-box stores don't carry. And remember to patronize your locally owned and operated buinesses.

Mail

Sometimes mail that is supposed to go to one neighbor gets put in the wrong mailbox. If you receive mail that should go to a neighbor, please don't leave the mail on the counter - it could get lost or thrown away by mistake. Please write "delivered to incorrect mailbox," on the envelope and drop it back in the mailbox. Better yet, meet a new neighbor and drop it off at their home. I'm sure they'll appreciate it.

Advance Payment

For all activities that require advance payment, your reservation is confirmed only upon payment. So, when you go to sign up for an event, if you bring your payment at the same time, you'll know your reservation is confirmed, and the activities group will count you in!

Parking

Just a reminder that the restriction against long-term parking on the streets also applies to cul-de-sacs.

Snow Removal

Please park all vehicles inside garages during snowstorms. This allows Fairway to clear all driveways to the best of their ability.

Magazine Exchange

Please! Please! Do not deposit magazines that are outdated in the magazine exchange area of the mailroom. Only current issues (6 months or newer) should be left there. Thank you.
