Subject: Illegal Parking in Designated Fire Lane at Clubhouse
This past fall, we put up a memo stating that parking in the designated fire lane in front of the clubhouse is prohibited. There has been an increase in this activity of late. In the winter months, we are working with the snow removal contractors to assure that the steps to the mailroom are clear.
Please note:
- Parking in a Fire Lane is a violation of town bylaws.
- In the event of an emergency, a parked vehicle can impede fire vehicles or medical staff from promptly responding.
- Parking in this lane, even for a few minutes to pick up mail, is a dangerous safety hazard that can impede safety professionals from responding to an emergency at the clubhouse.
Due to the serious ramifications of future violations, the Great Island Board of Directors has imposed a fine of $50 for each violation that is reported to them. Your cooperation is appreciated.
