2009 Mowing Schedule:

  • Tuesdays : Clubhouse, down Little Island to Entrance, including Crosswind, the Reaches, Mint Sprig and Fox Hollow.
  • Wednesdays: Highbank Trail, Champlain Circle, Great Point, Misty Knoll, Millers Joist, Great Island and Southward Trail up to Belltree, including Canoe Landing and Valley Front.
  • Thursdays: Belltree, balance of Southward Trail, White Trellis, Crooked Walk, Cottage Cove, Clam Pudding, Autumn Glen, and Tenderwood.

All fertilizations will be done weather permitting.

  • Round ONE: Pre-emergent crabgrass control immediately after spring clean up but before any loaming or reseeding, if seed fails to thrive re-apply lime application. Week of 4/13/09
  • Round TWO: Balanced fertilization with broad leaf weed control , plus crab grass pre-emergent. Week of 5/28/09
  • Rounds THREE and FOUR: Grub control & balanced fertilizer Week of 6/29/09
  • Round FIVE: Organic fertilizer with weed control. Week of 8/5/09
  • Round SIX: Balanced fertilizer with weed control Week of 9/14/09
  • Round SEVEN: Dolomitic Limestone Week of 10/26/09

All fertilizer applications are applied at a rate of 1 lb Nitrogen per 1,000 square feet.

Weed control will be liquid and will dry into the plant in a few hours. Total eradication of the weeds could take up to 2 weeks.

The lawns will be monitored year round for insects and disease and treated accordingly.

Weeds will be spot sprayed, as necessary.

EDITORS NOTE: Fertilizer applications of 1 lb Nitrogen per 1,000 square feet must not to exceed the Pinehills limit of 3.5 lbs/1,OOO SF/yr nitrogen.
