A new Charter Club has been formed at Great Island known as the Great Island Artisans Guild. The purpose of this club is to encourage artisans in the community to meet and exchange ideas for shows to be presented at Great Island, Pinehills and other venues. The meetings will be held the last Tuesday of each month at the Clubhouse. The first meeting will be on Tuesday, February 24 at 7:30 p.m. and we hope all persons interested in this topic will join us.
Unfortunately, due to the low interest level, bowling has been suspended until further notice.

For those of you who haven't played yet, Scrabble Night is a casual and fun activity. You don't have to sign up, you don't have to pay, and you don't even have to make a commitment! Just drop by to enjoy an evening in the company of friends.
These dinners are so much fun and give us a great opportunity to get together to meet our neighbors. Each quarter we will ask for three volunteers to be responsible for just one dinner per month in that quarter. We are asking that each person bring her own plates, cups, utensils and liquid refreshment. Approximately three weeks prior to the dinner there will be a sign up sheet at the Clubhouse. Please indicate on the sheet if you would like to bring an appetizer/salad, entree or dessert. Occasionally you may be asked to switch your choice so that we always have a good variety of food available.
In case you weren't aware, we have a "Sweatin' to the Oldies" exercise group at the Clubhouse. The group meets and they sweat it out to Richard Simmons' low impact aerobics videos. There's no charge, and no instructor - go at your own pace. Just come in comfortable clothes and sneakers, and have some fun while staying fit.
The Supper Club has become a very popular group, with the opportunity to meet new friends and visit neighbors' homes. In supper club, host homes entertain eight to ten people, and we all contribute to the meal; costs are divided evenly among the participants in each home at the end of the evening.
TGIF was a great success this summer. It is a casual night when we each brought our own food and drink and cooked out on the clubhouse patio. During the winter months, TGIF is held indoors - nice and cozy by the fireplace. After a break for the holidays, TGIF resumes in January.
Quilters are invited to come in with their projects, receive basic instructions, and learn tips from the experts. Feel free to bring along your lunch and stay as long as you like.
