A message from the editor. This is a private web site. It is not the official site of the Great Island community nor is this site associated in any way with The Pinehills, Great Island by Del Webb or Pulte Homes. The purpose of this site is to build community. The site includes much of what I have learned as a buyer at Great Island and as an owner and resident since July, 2006. I plan to enhance the site as time goes on. The structure of the site was designed to accommodate just about anything but there are a lot of gaps to fill in. If you have anything you'd like to share (anonymously or not) with the community (and the world), just e-mail it to me (click the envelope icon at the bottom of the page) and I'll try to find a place for it. One sentence in an e-mail is fine, or a whole web page with images, if you like (such as a community event or a topic of interest to the community). GreatIslandAtThePinehills.org was launched in August, 2005. As of February, 2009, the site has served over 150,000 pages, averaging about 3700 pages per month.
